Spring Program

I stopped by the kids school and took them to the book fair after their afternoon spring program. Logan got Zombie Science and Ashlynn got a kitty sticker book. Ashlynn still has her whiskers on in this pic :)

I forgot to charge my camera and had to use the phone to take a few pictures. I couldn't really see what I was taking pictures of. I wish I would had taken a couple because I only took two. In both the pictures you cannot see the kids very well. Ash is in this picture on the bottom right behind the microphone in the stripped kitty dress

Logan is on the top on the left. He was the only elk and he was so excited about it! He didn't want to do the program until I asked him if he would want to be an elk or deer. Then he was all about dressing up haha.

Back home after the program. It was cute to watch all of the kids sing while they were dressed up as little animals :)

Trip to California

Over Christmas break Will the kids and I drove down to California from Dec. 23rd until Jan. 1st. It was lots of fun! The kids didn't fight on the way down and only bickered like twice on the way home. I can't believe how good they were together.

We had to stop and let Logan see the elk that are always here. This was the whole reason Will wanted to take the route we did...so Logan could see the elk. You can tell he is related to my dad with the way he loves elk haha.

On the way down we cut through Grants Pass to HWY 101. We stopped at Trees of Mystery and let the kids see Paul Bunyon and Babe and take another break...out of the MANY that we took. Lots of potty breaks with 4 people traveling haha.

Hahaha Will told Logan to do this for a picture. Logan got embarrassed and didn't want to. Will told him he would pay him a quarter and Logan ran right up there for the picture. Haha so funny what a kid will do for a quarter

Ash has black all over her bum in this picture. When we stopped at DQ for lunch and took Ash out of the car we realized that while she was coloring she didn't put the cap on a marker and it fell in her booster and got all over her. Oh the joys of kids haha. I'm glad it didn't get all over the truck seat...thank goodness she has washable pens!

Kids all lined up and ready to open gifts! Nikki brought her kids' gifts over Christmas morning and all of the kids opened their gifts from Santa together.

Uhoh Ash got perfume and sparkle powder!! She wore it all of the time...we had to monitor it when we got home so she wasn't putting tons on right before school. She is a girly girl for sure

My cousin Shannon and her kids Rikki and Matt. I can't believe how big they are!! I remember when they were both babies. Rikki works as a life guard at the aquatic center in Fort Bragg so we took the kids swimming there. Rikki was in charge of Walker Ashlynn and Logan. She was a busy girl!

I went and saw the pool earlier with Shannon before we took the kids.

For our Christmas gift, Nikki payed for all of us girls to go get our nails done together. It was Nikki, my mom-in-law Betty, my niece Lexie me and Ashlynn. Also went out to a girls lunch for Chinese yum! Was a good girls day. Will was at home taking care of all of the little boys (Nate, Walker and Logan)

We went to Sonoma to see Will's dad. This is Ash on the way over on Hwy 20. Cold and car sick. Crackers and fresh air made her all better.

Will with Logan and his dad Fran in front of the Jelly Belly Factory. We waited in line for an hour and a half to see the tour. We had no idea it was that long of a line. We were going to go to Six Flags after the Jelly Belly Factory but this ended up being an all day adventure. The kids loved it. It was like a giant candy store to them. I think they are burnt out on candy for a while.

The Jelly Bean hat we had to wear on the tour. It was required. Ash threw a little hissy about it until we told her she would wear it sideways like a pirate hat. Then she was all for it.

The bear picture is made out of jelly beans. That had some 3D displays made too that were cool.

Will wouldn't let me take a pic so he had to make a goober face. Niiiice hon haha.

Lets add a little soda too all of the other sugar! The kids have never been allowed to have so much sugar. Ashlynn was in heaven until we were on our way out when her tummy hurt and she said she didn't want candy anymore. I have never heard those words from her lips before!

The only snow we saw was this tiny bit going over Mnt. Shasta on the way home. I was happy to have missed it all in Oregon!!

Now this is something I never see any more. Logan finally slept in the truck on the way home. It was a good trip

I went to the kids' Halloween party at their school yesterday. It was too cute. Logan took his pumpkin he carved from the pumpkin patch and entered it into the pumpkin carving contest. It won for scariest pumpkin so he received a gift card for Barns and Noble Bookstore. He was excited about that :)

The school day is over...time to go!!
We went to town to exchange Ashlynn's rubber boots that were too big. It ended up being the in town tric- or-treating!! Lucky the kids were already dressed up from their halloween party....they got to trick-or-treat!!

Logan got these new rubber boots from Grandma Bev and Papa Chris. They make his feet look huge!! It's so cute! He wore them to the pumpkin patch yesterday. He went there on a field trip with his class at school. He brought home another pumpkin which he had fun carving tonight. Ashlynn got to help him clean it...they had a blast! It's so cute when they get along :)

(My mom grew pumpkins in her garden for the kids and me this year)
Just getting started carving! I helped Ashlynn get her top off and they did the rest on their own. It's nice when they get big and I no longer have to do all of the work for them :)

They got down and dirty cleaning those pumpkins! Ash had pumpkin up to her elbows and all over her pants when she was done

Oh no!!! Ashlynn was doing so good...but then when she went to pop out the mouth the rest of the face went with it. It was so sad. She worked so hard and then was so upset when this happen. She cried. Of course...Mommy to the rescue! I cleaned out my pumpkin super quick and gave it to her to carve. I had her draw her eyes and nose and mouth further apart this time and helped her pop out the pieces after she carved each one.

Logan did so awesome this year!! Dang! I can't believe he is big enough to do such an awesome job!

Good Day to Walk

I decided it was a good day to go for a walk with the kids since it was so sunny and beautiful outside. I know that they have been missing me bad since I started school and am always busy studying. It was nice just to take time out and hang out with the little munchkins. We walked the road to my landlord's house. On the way back home we cut through the field that separates mine and my land lords houses. We got to see three deer on our walk so the kids were excited.

This is the tree farm that is between my landlord and my house. We went sledding down this hill last December.

Julie had her baby girl this morning at 3:25am! It's a pretty little girl :) Looks just like Sid did. Born at 3:25 am she weighs 8 lbs 5 0z and is 20.5 inches long. Her name is Nya Sienna. So pretty!! I'm heading to Tillamook tonight to see her after the kids and I get out of school!!

Will heard about Whistle lake from a person at work so we decided to take the kids. It ended up being pretty windy so we didn't spend much time in the water. Instead we hiked around the lake with the kids which was pretty.

It was in the 100s all week last week so one day after work the kids and I went to my landlords house and hit the pool. It got up to 110 degrees on Wednesday. I'm so glad it's back down in the 90s again! Much more fun for summer! Although the sun did heat the pool up to a nice temperature for swimming :)

Our Whale Watching Trip!!

The tour was a total of 6 hours. We started in Anacortes as shown on the map above. We went NW up into Canadian waters which is where we saw the orcas. We got to watch the orcas for about 20 minutes. The whole trip out was awesome. Lots of beautiful scenery!!

These fire works, during the grand finale, were the biggest fire works I had ever seen! They were awesome! A couple of the mortars wouldn't even fit completely into the cameras view.

Will and I agreed that this was the coolest 4th we have had. The community in Oak Harbor comes together and has such an awesome festival to celebrate. Watching the fireworks over the bay with the carnival lights in the back was pretty. It was just an overall awesome 4th of July. If anyone ever has the chance, Oak Harbor is a great place to go for the 4th!

That's so crazy because when Julie was prego with Sid and Jess was prego with Peyton, Julie was two months ahead of Jess. One of our summer pets!! We have 7 of these stick bugs. Logan was in charge of watering them during the 1st grade this last year. Logan got to bring them home for the summer to watch over them. The school said that a couple of them are old and may have babies and die. Sounds like we may have a lot more than 7 soon!!

While dad was getting treatments and had to stay in the hospital, Beverly asked us to send her pics. She used the pics to put in a digital photo frame that she bought for him to look at during his treatments. Will and I tried to take a 'normal' family pic to send to Bev...well I don't know what Ash is doing in the pic, but it wasn't normal. She didn't want to quit being silly so we took a few silly pics to send instead. They were way more fun for dad to look at anyway. Good idea Ash!! The pic below was one of the silly pics. I know that my sister, Jessica had the others on her blog a while back.

Sometimes I would find crazy pics like this in the camera. They would show up after Will would be home alone with the kids while I was working nights last year. Hmm...looks like they had too much time to goof off hahaha

A FEW PICS FROM THE WEDDING DAY

It took Will and I a while to decide just where we should have our wedding. Will wanted to have it at Crater Lake since that was one of the trips that we first took together. But when we decided to do a last minute wedding (when we thought that we were going to be moving to Italy) we decided to do an outdoor wedding at my sister and her husbands house. Since Oregon is so 'sunny' in November, haha, we decided it was best to do the wedding on the front porch of their home. Jess loves to decorate their porch for every season. However, the whole porch was done up in pumpkins and gourds so I made a few adjustments to make it a little less on the harvesty side. It turned out great. The weather only sprinkled a little bit (rain is good luck on a wedding day :) The best part was it ended up being pretty warm which was a pleasant surprise.

This was Will and I last year when we took a trip to San Diego. We went kayaking in the bay behind us. That was the first time for both of us and we had a ton of fun!
