Pumpkin Carving!!!

(My mom grew pumpkins in her garden for the kids and me this year)
Just getting started carving! I helped Ashlynn get her top off and they did the rest on their own. It's nice when they get big and I no longer have to do all of the work for them :)
They got down and dirty cleaning those pumpkins! Ash had pumpkin up to her elbows and all over her pants when she was done

Yum yum!!! Who wants a bite?!
Squishy fun!! They love those slimey pumpkin guts!
Oh no!!! Ashlynn was doing so good...but then when she went to pop out the mouth the rest of the face went with it. It was so sad. She worked so hard and then was so upset when this happen. She cried. Of course...Mommy to the rescue! I cleaned out my pumpkin super quick and gave it to her to carve. I had her draw her eyes and nose and mouth further apart this time and helped her pop out the pieces after she carved each one.
Logan did so awesome this year!! Dang! I can't believe he is big enough to do such an awesome job!
Round two!

She was much happier with this pumpkin :) She did a good job too!

All done and super happy!
Little Ashlynn's pumpkin
Ooooooo! Logan's spooky pumpkin!
All together! It was so cute.... when Ashlynn was crying about her first pumpkin, Logan went and looked at it and said, "Aww it's cute. You did good job Ash." What a sweet big brother! He can be such a butt to her most of the time. But he sure knows when to be sweet :) Ash decided her first pumpkin looks like a bunny with fluffy cheeks haha

  1. Her first bunny looks exactly like a bunny with fluffy cheeks! How cute. I remember doing the same exact thing Ashy did and our parents would put the face back together with toothpicks...well...at least the best they could. Good job kids. Love your pumpkins.
